Well known for his own brand of country music, Kentucky-born star Dwight Yoakam is headed to BECU Live with his catalog of chart-topping hillbilly hits. He’s sharing the stage with Country Music Hall of Famer Emmylou Harris & The Red Dirt Boys.

Grammy-winning artist Dwight Yoakam has sold more than 25 million albums worldwide since he launched onto the country music scene in the late ’80s with hits like “I Sang Dixie” and “Guitars, Cadillacs”. In 2016, he released his first bluegrass album, which included a cover of Prince’s “Purple Rain”. In addition to an ongoing music career, Yoakam has found success as an actor with appearances in box office hits ranging from Panic Room to Wedding Crashers.

With a remarkable country music career that spans 40 years, Emmylou Harris is considered one of the most admired and influential women in music. Harris’ backup band, known as The Red Dirt Boys, will join her on stage as she performs hits from her more than 25 studio albums. She was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2008 and later earned a Grammy Lifetime Achievement award.
