Since 2001, Dirty Heads have blended hip-hop, reggae, and rock to create a signature sound rooted in their Southern California upbringing. Founded by Dustin “Duddy B” Bushnell and Jared “Dirty J” Watson, the band built an audience with their laid-back grooves, uplifting lyrics, and genre-crossing style. Their 2008 debut album, Any Port in a Storm, helped establish the band nationally, featuring the breakout single “Lay Me Down,” which topped Billboard’s Alternative Songs chart and set a record for the longest run at No. 1 by an independently released track at the time.
Dirty Heads have continued to expand their global reach with albums including Cabin by the Sea, Sound of Change, Dirty Heads, Swim Team, and Midnight Control. Their hit “Vacation” became a viral sensation across social media, generating billions of views and streams, while recent tracks like “Life’s Been Good” and “Rescue Me” have continued to build on the band’s momentum. Today, the band is outstreaming some of the biggest alternative acts in the U.S., with more than one million digital track sales, over three billion global streams, and more than 2.4 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
