Spend an evening with reggae royalty when Damian & Stephen Marley hit the BECU Live stage!
The youngest son of reggae legend Bob Marley, Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley secured his place in music history when he became the first-ever reggae artist to win a Grammy outside of the reggae category, taking home the 2006 award for Best Urban/Alternative Performance. Marley is also the recipient of four Grammy Awards for Best Reggae Album, one of which is for the Gold-certified breakthrough disc Welcome To Jamrock (2005). In the past few years, Marley has been shaking up stages worldwide and collaborating with artists ranging from Skrillex to Jay-Z.
Beginning his lifelong musical journey at the age of six, Stephen Marley shared some historic stages with his legendary father and toured the world with his brother Ziggy and sisters Cedella and Sharon, The Melody Makers. He’s won eight Grammy Awards—three with The Melody Makers, three times as a solo artist, and twice as a producer of his younger brother Damian Marley. Stephen has always let his inspiration set him free as a singer, songwriter, musician, and producer, whether collaborating with his illustrious family or with the likes of Lauryn Hill, Bobby Brown, Nas, or Erykah Badu.
Born and raised on the West Coast and influenced heavily by his Polynesian upbringing, J Boog is one of the top reggae artists of recent years. Mentored by reggae icon Fiji, he honed his craft early on, blending reggae with soulful melodies and a distinctive vocal style. The two-time Grammy nominee has toured worldwide, performed at numerous festivals, and topped the Billboard Reggae Albums chart with several releases. His hit song "Let’s Do It Again" went viral on TikTok during the 2020 pandemic, garnering over 85 million YouTube views and 75k videos featuring dance trends led by celebrities like Jason Derulo, Noah Schnapp, and Charli D’Amelio.
