Drinking Water Ban Update

Airway Heights, WA – Late yesterday afternoon, the City of Airway Heights notified the Kalispel Tribe that out of an abundance of caution, Airway Heights water customers have been advised to not drink city water or use it for cooking until further notice. This temporary ban affects Northern Quest Resort & Casino and both Kalispel Chevron fuel stations.  The City reported tap water is safe for activities where water will not be ingested, such as bathing, laundry and dishes.  Please see the City’s press release for full details:  http://www.cawh.org/departments/public-works/water-reports/water-quality-2017.

While we don’t have full details at this time, Northern Quest has been proactive with immediate steps to ensure guest and team member safety.  Bottled water is available to all guests and team members while the ban is in place.  All restaurant venues are open their regular hours for food service, but will have limited menu options available.  We have discarded any foods that may have been washed with tap water and will ensure that all foods available have only been washed with bottled water.

We are actively working to independently test the water quality at Northern Quest and will share updates as soon as we have information available.
